Blizzard Blues
It’s cold outside, too cold.
As an individual with a perpetual distaste for winter, I wanted to evoke a frostbitten feeling married with a marketable dichotomy of cuteness. In this pattern project, woodland critters bundled in mittens, muffs and scarves huddle amidst an impending snowdrift.
Process
Since Blizzard Blues is an older project, all illustrations/motifs were done in slightly different style on a smaller scale in a sketchbook. The patterns were reworked from the originals while still keeping the initial illustrations.
